#LoveWonOnTheCross

As many of you know by now, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has just legalized gay marriage in all 50 states in a 5-4 vote. As Christians, this decision by the Supreme Court offers us an opportunity to demonstrate God's love and grace. Remember that we have been called to be salt and light according to Matthew 5. We live in an increasingly dark culture that is in desperate need of a Spiritual Awakening.

The time to take a stand and live a life based upon God's holy Word is now. As Christians and followers of God's Word, we must be prepared to live in civil disobedience when called upon to make a decision. May we model what true biblical love looks like before a perverse generation. "And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." (Genesis 2:22, 24 ESV)

As you are scrolling through facebook, twitter, and instagram today with a heavy heart reading over and over #lovewins and #loveislove, remember that love has already won. Love won thousands of years ago. #LoveWonOnTheCross when God loved us so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for each and every one of us. SCOTUS can not re-define what they did not define in the beginning. No decision changes the fact that God is still on His throne and victory is still ours.

As you pray, get on your knees before God asking Him to make you bold, courageous, humble, and loving as you minister the gospel of Jesus in our dying world.
